APS Physics student attends Physics Symposium at Cambridge University

Congratulations to Jake Newton-Kane who has successfully completed a Physics Symposium at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.  The residential event provided Jake and other year 13 students with a fantastic insight into degree-level physics and university life.  The students enjoyed lectures and lab work covering mathematics, physics problem solving and quantum mechanics. Students also got a feel for university life by staying in student halls at the prestigius Corpus Christi College.

My trip to Corpus Christi in Cambridge was a fantastic opportunity to experience a sample of university life and Physics at undergraduate level. The quantum mechanics lectures I attended were very complex but it was enjoyable to try and tackle difficult problems. The accommodation was great and the other students were very friendly; I am very grateful to the Ogden trust for giving me the opportunity to stay in Cambridge and would highly recommend it to anyone interested in reading physics at University.Jake Newton-Kane
